Living Room Tour

Its Friday! That means its show us where you live Friday over at Kelly’s Korner. I participated last week when she did the kitchen tour and now its time to show off your living rooms. Don’t forget to click on her blog on the sidebar to take a look at all of the living rooms, you can get some great ideas! I know I sure did last Friday when it came to kitchens.

Welcome to our living room…to me this area of the house is something I am always re-arranging or working on. I love to find bargains therefore I won’t spend a lot of money on the things that I want. We recently finished the wood floors and we couldn’t be happier with them, so much better than carpet. I do need a rug, but can’t find the “right” one. Any suggestions?? And I also want to put a coffee table in front of the couch…that I can’t decide on either. I like rustic and have some great ideas of what I want. Thankfully, I have a hubby that knows how to build so this is something on his “honey do” list.

This first pic is a view from the kitchen area. This is one side of the living room. The living room is rather large…which is great for our family. 

This is one of my fave collections! I love crosses! I have them all over my house, but this is the cross wall. So I add to it when I get new ones. I believe I counted 25 total one time and I will keep adding!  I got this print at Kirkland's…LOVE this store! And then the rest is from Southern Living At Home…another fave. This is the other side of our living room that has the entertainment center and media stuff. I love this entertainment center that we got at Wal-Mart for only $100 about 3 years ago. Gotta love those bargains! This is the hallway leading from the front door all the way to our living room. Then this little shelf displays lots of family pictures. On the top are my special photos of me and my Momo who passed away. Along with my Bible box that my hubby got me one year for our anniversary and the Fenton lamp, milk glass, from Justin’s grandmother. I believe we got this shelf about 2 years ago from Pier 1 on clearance for $40!

Here is some wall decor that we crafted ourselves :) I love home projects. This one piece is actually an old door. The bottom half was in bad shape so Justin cut it off and added the little planter box on it and I added flowers that match all of my colors. The paint is all original, we did not mess with any of that. It is one of my most favorite pieces! The barn wood frames on each side, he made me and I wrote/painted on them. the one on the right says FAITH…love & happiness. And the one on the left is a scripture Psalm 107:1 Give thanks to the Lord for He is good. His love endures forever. And that would be our living room! Thanks for stopping by, have a blessed weekend.
