Broken????

The title could work in many ways….yesterday could be described as a broken day. Hey, when it rains it pours, right??? First, I get a phone call from the school nurse telling me that she thinks Hannah’s arm is broken! What?!?! Are you sure you’re not calling about Hadlee?? She’s the dare devil, not Hannah. Nope, she was calling about Hannah. At recess Hannah was playing and another kid jumped off of the playground onto the ground Hannah’s arm (forearm to be exact). It was an accident, neither one of them saw one another. Justin quickly headed to the school to pick her up, while I called our doctor to see what we needed to do. (ER or doctor’s office) Her arm wasn’t dangling and she was just uncomfortable, so they said to bring her into the office. The doctor is certain it is broken (hairline fracture) so Hannah gets x-rays. Her x-rays show no break and the doctor is shocked, but the swelling could be why she doesn’t see a break. So, for now she is in a sling for 1 week and can’t use it just in case there is a hairline fracture. Most times with a hairline fracture they say that you don’t even realize you have one. If her arm still feels the same or worse after 1 week then we will go back for more x-rays and be able to see everything better hopefully.

We won’t even get into the rest of the day…someone said it comes in 3’s and then your done. So, yesterday we had our 3 broken moments and we were done. Thankfully! Of course, yesterday could’ve always been worse and God never gives you more than you can handle so we are good now. Thankful that Hannah’s injury wasn’t worse, thankful that Emma did not break her nose when she tripped and fell while I was making the doctor’s appt for Hannah and we will just pray that #3 works itself out….hate to leave you hanging but we won’t plaster someone else’s personal business for everyone to read, sorry :-).
