So, I thought why not give a tour of my kitchen. A blog that I love and have followed for a while now is doing "show us where you live friday-kitchen edition"Kelly's Korner is a cute, sweet blog and is on my side bar...so if you get the chance click on it and check out all of the other kitchens. I know I have already gotten tons of ideas to add to my list! Enjoy!
Here is the view from the dining room. Notice, roosters are my theme :)
Found this sign at Wal-Mart!
Here is where we eat our meals as a family. I LOVE black furniture! And this weekend we are painting the island black/distressed. I had already planned this task, but after looking at other kitchens and seeing painted islands, I am definitely doing it this weekend!! OR I should say...Justin is def painting it this weekend...ha!
Here is the view from the hallway. Don't you think that island will just POP after its painted and look like a great piece of furniture?!?! Check for after photos of it!
Here is my little country shelf full of clutter...I am always wanting to re-arrange it :)
We added these knobs and drawer pulls soon after moving in....ultimately(and if you have read previous post of mine you know this) I want to paint my cabinets! BUT my hubby says only if we got a professional to do it would he let me. And well after getting a quote for $3500, I said nevermind. Who knows maybe he will return home one day to partially painted cabinets and then he will HAVE TO give in to the idea :)
Another "wish" on the list is stainless appliances...in time we will get to replace them...the white is horrible! But, hey, it works...so no complaints here.
As you can see, I have BOLD colors in my house. I sometimes wonder if I should go more neutral...hmmm. The kitchen is "autumn" red, Living Room is "autumn" green, Dining is "autumn" yellow and the hallways are chocolate brown. It really does all flow well together and I get LOTS of compliments on the color choices.
LOVE this valance that a friend of mine made me! It was the first thing in our house when we moved in and it has ALL of my color choices in it too :)And thats my kitchen! We love to cook and we enjoy our spacious kitchen. Majority of our time is spent in here :) Don't forget to check out the kitchens...there are some fabulous ones.

I love the country shelf!!
I LOVE your kitchen setup and your choice of colors. You should see mine - can you say need some work!?! Shanna is always complimenting your style - she's so right, it looks great. Southern Living at Home pieces sure would go good in there LOL Can't wait to see the painted island.
I LOVE your red....I also like the white appliances. To me stainless is so overdone....but then, I like vintage. I painted my own cupboards. It is not too hard if you sand, use good primer and good paint and especially...good brushes!

Thanks for stopping by my blog and leaving me a comment. I found the ABC's of Faith plaque at Steinmart. If you don't have one near you, I've googled them before and found a few sites that sell them as well.
