Project list just grew! Oh my!

Sorry its been a while since the last post. These kiddos keep me busy :) Yesterday afternoon after everything had somewhat settled down I was able to sit down and relax. While doing so I found a great blog! Its on my sidebar now under my blog list and I am so excited about it (southern hospitality). This lady is an interior decorator and has now added to my list of projects I want to do in my home. So go check it out if you get the chance. First, project will be framing out our bathroom mirrors...super easy and changes the look from cheap to chic! Can't wait...I will definitely post before and after pics when we get this one checked off the list. If you know me, you know that I am constantly changing things in my house...redecorating, rearranging furniture and etc. And I try to do it with bargains, so I love this lady bc she is the same way. The BIG project on my list that I have been wanting to do for a while now and I think I finally have my hubby on board is painting the kitchen cabinets. It makes the house look so cozy and completely goes with my decor. I think we have decided on creamy white and antique the edges. Like I said this is a BIG one so it will take a while before we take this one on, few months from now...but I am so excited! Let me know what you think about painting your kitchen cabinets ???? I found some great before and after photos.

Nothing too exciting going on in our world at this moment. We ended up not traveling to Lufkin this past weekend and changed plans to go on the 14th instead. My sister-n-law and her family came up instead and we had a great visit.

Miss Hannah is getting prepared for that wonderful TAKS test...which I just wish did not exist. They put so much pressure on these kiddos and I just don't like it. I do think that these test should just be replaced by benchmarks, but hey why would they listen to my advice. So we just have to work on encouragement and getting through all of this testing over the next few months and the years to come I guess.

On another note, I did start walking in the afternoons with a friend of mine and couldn't be more excited about getting in shape. I am 27 and feel much older, no good. My ultimate goal is to do a 1/2 marathon and then eventually a marathon.

Hey Amber - we framed our mirrors in both bathrooms a few years ago and I LOVE them now. I should have shown you when you were here last week! It is the only project Lee did not want to do himself. He was a little nervous about shattering the mirrors even with the right tools. If you want to take it somewhere let me know and I'll tell you where we took it. Anyway, I want to paint out cabinets, too...

I would love to do a marathon as well, but at the rate I'm going that's not going to be happening anytime soon. I do LOVE to walk, tho, and glad someone else out there does too. I try to walk everyday that it's pretty! I'm just pretty awful at joggin!
