Birthday Carnival!

Well we are done with the home touring and now Kelly over at Kelly's Korner is hosting the Birthday Carnival, which I am so excited about! I always have so much fun decorating and organizing a neat party for my girls :) Emma had a 1st birthday in October of ‘08 and the theme was colorful toys and stacking cups. I got the idea from Parents magazine. I attempted to make her cake myself, which I have NEVER done to this extent and I may not ever do again until I have cake baking/decorating lessons. It actually did not turn out too bad. It tasted great, but I am just a perfectionist when it comes to these things. I need to loosen up a little I guess.

Hadlee’s birthday was just this past January and she turned 6 years old! I found a local lady that baked cakes and she is FABULOUS! The cake was the best tasting cake EVER and well the decorating was amazing. Unfortunately, due to a new law passed in the Lone Star State…she can no longer bake cakes out of her home :( So this was our first cake from her and our last. Oh how I was looking forward to not having to bake cakes anymore. Hadlee is a little gymnast so her theme was gymnastics and it turned out too cute.

Last, Miss Hannah just celebrated her 10th birthday at the end of June! As they get older, I now see, the parties get less about the decor and more about the friends. She looks so grown in her pictures and I don’t like it one bit!
