10 years ago today....

I was marrying my wonderful husband!

Technically it will be 10 years at 2:30 p.m. I remember the day like it was yesterday! It was a rainy day, outdoor wedding, and my uncles had to hold up the arch-way because the gusts of wind kept blowing it over. Ha! I remember the preacher came and asked me if it started raining did I want him to stop and us go inside to finish. At this point, I just said nope...finish in the rain! I believe there is an "old wives tale" that when it rains on your wedding day, its good luck. Maybe that holds some truth bc look at us 10 years later :)

It was a small wedding at my aunt's house with only close friends and relatives. I recall how wonderful my aunts did at planning it all so that my day would be perfect. My Aunt Theresa in particular did great at planning it ALL. Held everything together and then right as I was about to walk down the aisle she burst into tears bc it had just hit her that I was getting married! I remember the songs that were played at our wedding....Terri Clark, Now That I Found You, my cousin Leigh Ann actually sang this song and it was beautiful and Michael Peterson, From Here to Eternity. It was a wonderful, memorable day that I will always remember and only wish there would have been digital cameras so we could take a walk down memory lane on here. Guess I need to get myself a scanner...

Its been a wonderful 10 years and I can't wait to see what the next 10 hold for us. We have been blessed! I couldn't ask for a better partner in life. Justin is the best father and husband and I am so proud to call him my husband.
